He dreams of a better life for his children and decides to leave the city for good. However, he promises to come back in 10 years with a lot of money – enough for the entire family – and departs after having dinner with his children. Shanta and Bablu, sacrificing themselves for the sake of their father sacrificing his dreams and future.
Nalini and Shanta both want to find their missing father, but decide not to go after leaving a note instead. Nalini notices information about her father written on a hand-drawn poster and looks for him using the same method, finally finding him working as a dance instructor in Delhi. Amar is initially moody upon seeing his daughter, but quickly warms up to her after she talks about how he left her as a child without any explanation. He tells her that no one should be left by their parents and apologizes for not doing anything. To make amends, he takes her on a tour of Delhi and they visit various places together. However, Nalini is disappointed when she learns that her father is not rich at all. He reveals that he had been promising to reunite with his family in ten years when in reality he was living a poor lifestyle in Delhi after failing at finding a job in Mumbai.
After the disappointment of the truth, Nalini decides to leave but Amar stops her one last time and reveals that he has met his son Bablu earlier and was surprised to learn that Bablu still has hope for him.
